Free to be Me

Francesca Battistelli’s song, Free to be Me, goes along with my realization after rereading Ramon Bautista’s (RB) book, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo.

On the 31st of the month, RB’s book will release its movie adaptation starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. To my review, I looked through the read again before watching its film. And to my review also, it registered to me that I’m free to be me.

I’ve prevented myself from becoming more tanga than I already was. I don’t wanna dig into the things that are better off buried, but I’d like to elaborate how much of a truth almost everything RB have written in around 100 pages. It correlates with He’s Just Not That Into You and Why Men Love Bitches—both helped me move on from some shitty love life.

For nearly two years, I felt like a doormat my entire life. Only later have I realized that I really was and that I needed to change and oppose that sitch. So I did. Although I am not yet wholly changed bitch, I’m on the process, gradually getting there.

I’ve started with the littlest things like deleting my first love’s number from my antique phone, not replying some of his private messages on Facebook or Twitter, and revealing he’s totally out of my radar anymore. So I guess technically, we’re both free?
