Meralco makes Maliwanag ang Pasko

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) invites everyone to take part in the institution’s Christmas season celebration as it launches Meralco Liwanag Park in Ortigas Avenue, where attractions will be lit for the people to gaze at and enjoy. It will be open to public starting November 25.

Behind this program is a bigger cause—Meralco’s Maliwanag ang Pasko—that serves as one of the firm’s channels for supporting various charities and encouraging customers to participate by lighting up their homes every Christmastime.

The people will not just appreciate the “liwanag ng bukas” through the wonders of light, but will also be able to send at least 1,000 children to school in the coming year. As to show support to this project and help the youth, they may simply send a photo of their homes decked out in holiday brightness with a caption that describes how they are making Christmas brighter with their families this year.

They can email the picture, together with their contact details, to until December 20. And to know more about the Maliwanag ang Pasko program, log on to or like Meralco’s Facebook fan page at
